Below you will find a variety of questions commonly asked. The answers in bold, are important-please read! If you are already down here and need delivery service-please feel free to use the online shopping site too!
Are prices in U.S. or Belize dollars?
Answer: all prices are in U.S. dollars
How early should I place my order?
Answer: ASAP. In order to make sure we have the items you requested-we need as much time as possible. All orders must be submitted and paid with at least 4 days of notice.
Many of the vendors have limited hours of operation. Additionally-this island is subject to deliveries from the mainland which can sometimes take several days to reach here.
• If you have already arrived at your villa or resort and are trying to place an order, please call us directly to confirm when we will be able to deliver.
Is there a delivery charge?
Answer: Yes, all orders have a $20 u.s. delivery charge. We decided to keep it simple and make all orders a flat rate.
This charge will automatically occur when you complete your shopping
I am done shopping-what is the checkout process?
Answer:
• You will be asked to provide your shipping address. Just use a U.S. address. It’s not important…….really-it’s not important.
• You will then be prompted to select method of payment. Pay with credit card through paypal or “print and call”*
• Enter the location of the resort or private house you will be staying on Ambergris Caye under “special instructions” Also include the date you will arrive and your estimated time of arrival.
-PLEASE NOTE: you do not need to have a paypal account if you are paying a credit card. Paypal simply acts as the secure site to process your credit card.
You will pay by credit card the same way you make any other online purchase.
What is “print and call”
Answer: “print and call” can be used if you are unsure of an item or want to add something to your list that we didn’t have on the site. We will receive your order and contact you by email.
Once we answer your question and figure out your bill-we will send you an invoice through paypal requesting payment.
When do I need to pay?
Answer: AS SOON AS YOU HAVE ORDERED YOUR ITEMS. WE WILL NOT SET ASIDE ITEMS FROM THE STORE OR SHOP FOR YOU UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.
Is there anything else I need to do?
Answer: The last thing you need to provide is the location and unit number of your villa or house. We will also need to know the estimated time of arrival.
We will enter into your villa prior to your arrival and stock the house with all your items. We will leave a copy of your order in your house or villa.
I ordered something and it wasn’t here when I arrived. Do I get a refund?
Answer: Due to the nature of the island and country, sometimes certain items are just not available.
If we have received your order in advance-we will notify you and find out if you prefer an alternative. If we cannot locate an alternative or we did not receive the order in time,
You will receive a refund in cash. We will leave the cash in an envelope next to the invoice in your villa.
